So Im 17 and hoping to do my test by the end of this year. My dad has promised to buy me a car when I pass so out of curiosity I went online to check out how much car insurance was for the car im getting. To put simple, the cheapest quote I got was 6000. The car Im getting is less than a grand itself :o I even got quoted 12000 once :/ wtf?

Hi, I was with insurance company A and was planning to move into company B in the next few days. I finalised the quote and premium amount and even received the new set of insurance documents from company B and informed the company A of cancellation. But today i met with a minor accident due to rain puddle leading to my car skidding and causing damage. I have filed a claim with company A but I want to understand how this will affect my premium rates with company B. Do I have to inform them beforehand? What will be the best course of action?

Alright so I had my insurance policy through my mom with Allstate. Today we got a cancellation letter from them, and it was because of a reckless driving charge put against me. What should we do, what is the next step of getting a new policy? My mom also just got a new car about three years ago and i know for sure that she does not have it payed off. The other day I accidently backed into this couple that have full coverage insurance. I believed everything was okay until an investigator called and left a message saying that my brother had cancelled my insurance. Therefore, I didn't have any insurance at the time of the accident. The person I hit did not get a ticket and I did not get a ticket. What is going to happen with this? Will I loose my lisence or will I have to pay for their car damages even though they have full coverage? If I call and get car insurance today, will it be effective for the accident?

What's up guys; 19 year old college student here with the summer off. I already have a job, car, and apartment, and I'm looking for a cheap summer vehicle that would be fun to drive around. I've considered a small sportsbike, but due to my young age the insurance is an absolute killer. So, I was looking at scooters. No insurance, cheap to buy (about $600), and pretty fun to drive around. They won't keep up with traffic, sure, but it'd still be an interesting ride. (Too dorky?) Any other recommendations for a cheap, fun summer vehicle?

The problem is, I work from 9 am to 9pm M-Sat and do not have the time to call someone about insurance quotes. I went online and searched for non-owner sr22 and the first thing any site wants to know other than your name is what kind of car you drive. My car doesn't work. To save money I parked it while I saved up and two kids smashed it up. They don't have any money to fix it so I'm out of luck there. I lost my license 3 years ago in a different incident and need to get it back so I can find something to rent or borrow or something to get a better paying job.
